Chopper- 16 x 20

DOG STORY- Chopper
Chopper was a lovely Rottweiler mix who is no longer with us, but is still adored by his human companion, Steve, who has an empty place in his life now that's as big as Chopper. Chopper's place in Steve's life was so large that Steve gave up doing pretty much anything that couldn't include Chopper- no motorcylce trips, no late night parties, no traveling where Chopper was not along. In spite of the reputation of his breed, Chopper was a warm and fuzzy kind of a guy, who would look a person in the eye and reflect back to you that he knew what you were about. He was a lousy guard dog, because he considered everyone a friend. Even though Steve is a biker dude, Chopper got his name not from a Harley, but because when he wagged his tail it went round and round above him as if he was going to take off. He cleared many a coffee table with that tail. Chopper loved babies and birds. A friend's cockatoo would sit on his head, and Chopper would happily provide the perch. Chopper also loved his tennis ball and favorite rock. Especially the rock. When Steve was moving Chopper put the rock by the front door, indicating that the rock was not to be left behind. He had the same rock for 13 years. It sits on the window sill in the painting, close to Chopper.
Chopper was never aggressive and his actions spoke that he wanted us all to just get along. Peace to you boy, as you wished for us.
